Peaky Blinders came to our screens on the 12th September 2013 and entertained us on our sofas not only up and down the country but across the globe. With an amazing cast including Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy & Helen McCrory (RIP) to name a few, we fell for the Shelby Family.

Congratulations to our amazing womens curling team who went to Beijing to win the biggest title of them all, Olympic Gold.

It was estimated that over 700k people tuned in from the UK to watch the match that started around 1am (GMT). Eve Muirhead, Vicky Wright, Jen Dodds, and Hailey Duff took to the ice to face their formidable oponent Japan in the final.

After the huge success of our very own Bleachers Beer that we launched back in 2019 Team Floodgate have been working away in the background on a new draught offering for 2022. You could even say we have been comparing apples with apples (drum roll please). 

With that in mind and as spring and summer is just around the corner (aka cider season) we are very pleased to annouce PitPat Press Cider which is now flowing freely at The Floodgate. Coming in at a refeshing 4.5% abv it is a medium dry cider with no artificial flavours or sweeteners.

Happy January Birmingham,

Now that the final covid restrictions seem to be finally ending, we will all hopefully start emerging from what seems like a very long hibernation.
