Budget Birmingham Christmas Night Out

We are all feeling the pinch right now, everything costs that little bit more! Thats why in the build up to Christmas, the team here at Floodgate Towers have devised a budget friendly plan for you to have the maximum fun with the minimum spend.

Here are some ideas for a budget-friendly Christmas night out in Birmingham:

  • Visit a Christmas market. Birmingham has several Christmas markets, including the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market and the Birmingham Cathedral Christmas Market. These markets are a great place to soak up the festive atmosphere and do some Christmas shopping.

  • Go ice skating. Birmingham has a number of outdoor ice rinks, including the one at Millennium Point and the one at Birmingham Hippodrome. Ice skating is a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the winter weather.

  • See a Christmas show. Birmingham has a number of theaters that put on Christmas shows, including the Birmingham Hippodrome and the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. There are shows for all ages and interests, so you're sure to find something you'll enjoy.

  • Have a Christmas meal at a pub. Birmingham has a number of pubs that offer Christmas meals, which is a great way to enjoy a festive feast without breaking the bank. There are many options to choose from, so you're sure to find something that you'll like.

  • Go carol singing. Carol singing is a great way to spread some Christmas cheer. There are a number of carol singing events in Birmingham throughout the Christmas season.

  • Visit Birmingham's German Market. The German Market is one of the most popular Christmas markets in Birmingham. It is located in the heart of the city and is a great place to find traditional German food and Christmas gifts.

  • Take a walk through Birmingham's Christmas lights. Birmingham has a number of Christmas light displays, including the ones in Victoria Square and at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The lights are a great way to get into the festive spirit.

  • Be a spectator at The Floodgate , its a common misconception and one we get asked alot 'do i need to book' or 'does everyone have to play games' the answer is no. We are a bar first and activity centre second. So if you just want to come along grab a drink and watch others play all day (or night) thats absolutly fine. We are 100% free to enter all the time.

  • Have a drink at one of Birmingham's Christmas bars. Birmingham has a number of bars that get into the festive spirit with special Christmas cocktails and decorations.

Here are some additional tips for saving money on your Christmas night out in Birmingham:

  • Book your activities in advance. Many Christmas activities in Birmingham sell out quickly, so it is important to book your tickets in advance. This will also help you to save money, as you can often get discounts for booking early.
  • Take advantage of public transport. Birmingham has a good public transport system, so you can save money on parking by taking the bus or train.
  • Eat at a pub or restaurant outside of the city center. Food and drinks are generally cheaper outside of the city center, so you can save money by eating at a pub or restaurant in a suburb.
  • Look for deals and discounts. There are a number of websites and apps that list deals and discounts on Christmas activities in Birmingham. You can also sign up for email newsletters from your favorite venues to be notified of special offers.
  • Bring your own alcohol. If you are planning on drinking, it is cheaper to bring your own alcohol rather than buying it at a bar or restaurant.

By following these tips, you can have a fun and festive Christmas night out in Birmingham without breaking the bank.
