As the Beatles once profoundly said, 'Here comes the sun do, do, do'

As I write this from Floodgate Towers, It is the 1st March 2022 and it is officially Spring Time according to the meteorological calendar. Meteorological seasons are instead based on the annual temperature cycle and measure the meteorological state, as well as coinciding with the calendar to determine a clear transition between the seasons. The meteorological seasons consist of splitting the seasons into four periods made up of three months each. These seasons are split to coincide with our Gregorian calendar, making it easier for meteorological observing and forecasting to compare seasonal and monthly statistics.

As it has been a bit of a washout the good thing with the weather is we get another chance at Spring? 'Tell me more' i hear you say. 

Well, there is also something called the Astronomical Spring which changes every year. Astronomical seasons refer to the position of Earth's orbit in relation to the Sun, considering equinoxes and solstices. This is due to the 23.5 degrees of tilt of the Earth's rotational axis concerning its orbit around the Sun. Since the seasons vary in length, the start date of a new season can fall on different days each year. This actually takes place on Sunday 20th March 2022 through to Tuesday 21st June 2022.

So regardless if we are in a Meteorological or Astronomical Spring there is always a good excuse to get down to The Floodgate to play some games in the best cocktail bar in Digbeth.  if the sun is a-shining you can get yourselves out to our glorious yard to soak up those vitamin D infused rays.
